Day 1: Haridwar to Rishikesh Sightseeing and Barkot (1 night stay)
Morning: Depart from Haridwar to Rishikesh (approx. 1 hour).
- Explore Rishikesh attractions:
- Visit Laxman Jhula, an iconic suspension bridge over the Ganges, offering scenic views of the river and surrounding mountains.
- Explore Ram Jhula, another famous bridge that connects the two banks of the river, and visit nearby temples and ashrams.
- Triveni Ghat: Attend the evening Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing ritual performed at the confluence of three holy rivers (Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati).
- Visit Neer Garh Waterfall: A tranquil spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.
- Explore the Beatles Ashram: The spiritual retreat where the Beatles stayed in the 1960s, now a popular destination with beautiful graffiti art and peaceful surroundings.
- Optional: Enjoy river rafting, bungee jumping, or zip-lining for an adrenaline rush.
Afternoon: Depart from Rishikesh to Barkot (approx. 7 hours).
Evening: Arrive in Barkot and check-in to your hotel. Relax and enjoy the serene environment.
Overnight stay in Barkot.
Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri Darshan and Return to Barkot (1 night stay)
Early morning: Depart for Yamunotri (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours).
- Trek to Yamunotri Temple: The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, located in the beautiful Yamuna Valley, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and hot springs.
- Explore the hot springs near the temple, where devotees take a dip for spiritual purification.
- Visit Surya Kund: The boiling water spring, famous for its high temperature.
Return to Barkot by evening.
Overnight stay in Barkot.
Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi (1 night stay)
Morning: Depart for Uttarkashi (approx. 4-5 hours).
Check-in to your hotel and relax.
- Explore Uttarkashi attractions:
- Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River.
- Visit Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, a popular temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, perched on a hilltop and surrounded by scenic views of the forested area.
- Visit Shakti Temple: A beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, offering panoramic views of the town.
Enjoy the scenic beauty and the peaceful surroundings of Uttarkashi.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri Darshan and Return to Uttarkashi (1 night stay)
Early morning: Depart for Gangotri (approx. 3 hours).
- Gangotri Temple: This sacred temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and is located at the source of the Ganges River. It offers a stunning view of the snow-covered peaks and the majestic Ganges flowing from its origin.
- Spend some time near the river, soak in the divine atmosphere, and visit nearby shrines.
- Explore the serene surroundings and enjoy the tranquility of the region.
Return to Uttarkashi in the evening.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 5: Return to Haridwar
Morning: Depart for Haridwar (approx. 6-7 hours).
Arrive in Haridwar by evening, concluding your spiritual journey.
