Day-wise itinerary

Day 1

Departure from Delhi early in the morning (6:00 AM). Reach Dehradun by afternoon (approx. 6-7 hours). Check-in at hotel. After settling in, visit Sahastradhara, a natural spring with medicinal properties and a beautiful setting. Later, head to Robber’s Cave, a unique natural cave formed between two hills. Explore Rajpur Road for some shopping and enjoy local delicacies. Finish the day with a relaxing visit to the Forest Research Institute, an iconic colonial building with beautiful gardens. Overnight stay in Dehradun.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart from Dehradun to Mussoorie (approximately 35 km, 1.5-hour drive). On arrival, first visit Kempty Falls, a popular waterfall known for its scenic beauty and a favorite picnic spot. Afterward, head to Gun Hill, the second-highest point in Mussoorie, accessible by a cable car. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the Doon Valley and the Himalayan ranges. Visit Camel’s Back Road, a quiet stretch perfect for a relaxed walk. In the evening, stroll through Mall Road, lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. End your day by watching the sunset at Sunset Point. Overnight in Mussoorie.

Day 3

After breakfast, drive to Dhanaulti (approximately 24 km, 1-hour drive). Visit Eco Park, a serene park surrounded by oak and deodar trees, with trekking trails and peaceful spots. Then, head to Surkhanda Devi Temple, located at an altitude of 10,000 feet, where you can enjoy a short trek or drive up to the temple. From the temple, enjoy stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Afterward, head to Landour (approximately 12 km), a quiet cantonment town known for its colonial architecture and peaceful environment. Explore the famous Char Dukan, a stretch with quaint cafes serving tea and snacks. Walk around Landour Bazaar to see its charming houses and local shops. Overnight stay in Mussoorie or Landour.

Day 4

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Mussoorie and head towards Chamba (approximately 70 km, 2.5-3 hours). Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Visit the Chamba Temple, dedicated to the local deity, which offers stunning views of the surrounding hills. Then, head to Tehri Dam, one of the highest dams in India, located at the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Bhilangana rivers. You can enjoy a boat ride on the Tehri reservoir or take in the views from the viewing platform. In the afternoon, explore Chamba Village, which is surrounded by apple orchards and beautiful landscapes. Relax and enjoy the quiet ambiance of this off-the-beaten-path destination. Overnight stay in Chamba.

Day 5

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Chamba and drive back to Dehradun (approximately 70 km, 2-2.5 hours). Once in Dehradun, you can visit Mindrolling Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India, or relax at Malsi Deer Park, a peaceful wildlife park located just outside the city. Have lunch at a local restaurant and explore the local markets. After lunch, begin your journey back to Delhi. You can either drive (6-7 hours) or take a train from Dehradun to New Delhi (approximately 5 hours). Arrive in Delhi by evening or night, concluding your trip.
