Day1

Day 1: Haridwar to Chopta

Haridwar to Chopta Itinerary

Travel: Start from Haridwar early in the morning for a scenic drive to Chopta (~7-8 hours, 200 km).
En Route Activities: Stop at Devprayag to see the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. Enjoy the picturesque views and capture photos. Quick stop at Rudraprayag for snacks and tea.
Arrival in Chopta: Check into your accommodation in Chopta. This peaceful hill station offers beautiful meadows and forests.
Evening Activities: If time permits, take a short trek to Tungnath Temple (3.5 km), the highest Shiva temple, and optionally continue to Chandrashila Peak (1.5 km) for a spectacular sunset.
Stay: Overnight stay in Chopta.

Day2

Day 2: Chopta to Auli

Travel: Start your journey from Chopta to Auli (~120 km, 5-6 hours). The drive takes you through lush green forests, small villages, and beautiful landscapes.
Arrival in Joshimath: Reach Joshimath and take the *cable car* ride to Auli. Enjoy the mesmerizing views of the snow-capped peaks, including Nanda Devi.
Exploring Auli: In winter, enjoy skiing at the Auli Ski Resort, or in the warmer months, take a leisurely trek to *Gorson Bugyal, an alpine meadow with stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas. Also, visit the **Auli Artificial Lake*, one of the highest artificial lakes in India.
Stay: Check-in and spend the night in Auli, enjoying the cool mountain air and scenic beauty.

Morning Activities: Start your day with a trek to *Gorson Bugyal* (8 km), which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. During the winter months, enjoy skiing and other snow-related activities.

Evening: Relax and enjoy the cool evening in Auli. You can take a peaceful walk through the meadows or simply admire the sunset over the mountain peaks.

Day 4: Auli to Haridwar

Travel: Begin your return journey from Auli to Haridwar (~9-10 hours, 330 km). The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes, including forests, rivers, and villages.
En Route Activities: Stop at *Rishikesh* for sightseeing. Visit *Laxman Jhula* and *Triveni Ghat* to enjoy the spiritual ambiance and explore local cafes. Continue the journey towards Haridwar.
Arrival in Haridwar: Once in Haridwar, visit *Har Ki Pauri, a sacred ghat on the banks of the Ganges, and participate in the evening **Ganga Aarti*. You can also take a stroll around the ghats and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Stay: End your trip with an overnight stay in Haridwar or continue your onward journey.
