Overview: Upon arrival at Kochi Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, you will be warmly received by our local representative. Begin a picturesque road journey to Munnar, one of Kerala’s most loved hill stations, known for its tea gardens, cool climate, and colonial charm. As you ascend into the Western Ghats, the scenery changes from bustling towns to serene hills covered with tea bushes and waterfalls.

Attractions En Route:

• Cheeyappara Waterfalls: A magnificent seven-step waterfall flowing down rocky slopes surrounded by forests. Ideal for photography and a short break to enjoy the fresh air and natural ambiance.
• Valara Waterfalls: Located a little ahead of Cheeyappara, this waterfall is nestled amidst dense green forest, creating a tranquil and refreshing stop along the way.
• Scenic Drive: The drive features winding mountain roads bordered by tea plantations, spice gardens, and mist-covered valleys, offering plenty of scenic viewpoints and local tea stalls where you can take a short break.

Note: Tempo Travellers are restricted beyond certain inner roads in Munnar town due to narrow and steep routes. Sightseeing in such areas may require switching to smaller local cabs, which can be arranged at additional cost or coordinated through your hotel/resort.

Arrival and Check-in: Reach Munnar by late afternoon or early evening and check in to your pre-booked hotel or resort. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You can take a casual walk around the property, sip fresh Munnar tea, or explore the nearby local market known for homemade chocolates, handicrafts, and fresh spices.

Day 4: Thekkady to Alleppey – Houseboat Stay

Distance: Approximately 140 km | Travel Time: 4–5 hours

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will check out from your accommodation and embark on a scenic drive to Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha, famously referred to as the Venice of the East due to its intricate network of canals and backwaters. By midday, you will board your private houseboat, which will serve as your floating sanctuary for the night, offering a unique opportunity to experience Kerala’s tranquil backwaters up close.

The houseboat cruise will take you through calm, palm-fringed waterways, surrounded by vast green paddy fields and coconut groves. Along the journey, you will witness daily village life, with locals going about their routines, fishermen casting nets, and children playing by the banks, providing an authentic glimpse into rural Kerala.

Your houseboat comes equipped with air-conditioned bedrooms and private bathrooms to ensure your comfort. Time Permitting, Visit:
