Day 1

    • Start your journey from Chandigarh around 6:00 AM. The distance is approximately 310 km and takes around 7-8 hours by road. You’ll pass through scenic landscapes including towns like Bilaspur, Mandi, and Kullu, and enjoy views of the Beas River and surrounding mountains.
    • If traveling by a Volvo bus, it will take around 10-12 hours with comfortable seating and refreshment breaks. Make sure to carry some snacks and water for the road trip.
  • Afternoon: Arrival in Manali
    • Arrive in Manali around 2:00-3:00 PM and check into your hotel (options like The Himalayan, Johnson’s Café & Hotel, or Snow Valley Resorts are popular choices).
    • Relax after the long drive and freshen up. For lunch, either enjoy a meal at the hotel or visit local cafés such as Café 1947 or Chopsticks Restaurant for authentic Himachali cuisine like Siddu (steamed bread) and Chana Madra (spicy chickpea curry).
  • Evening: Mall Road & Old Manali
